| Following on from the success of last season's five day residential "Be Your Best" camps for 14-17 year olds, the Premiership Rugby Academy is pleased to announce details of seven new camps run jointly by the Premiership clubs and the British Army taking place during the 2008 summer holidays. |
As well as over twenty hours of top quality rugby coaching from the country's best development coaches, each attendee on a “Be Your Best” five day residential camp will receive a branded rugby jersey, a rucksack and a waterbottle, as well as the opportunity to take part in numerous activities provided by the Army aimed at increasing team and leadership skills.
The Army has an unparalleled reputation for developing leadership skills and teamwork and have outstanding world class facilities alongside a proud rugby heritage. Winners of the Middlesex 7s in 2003, they’re also a breeding ground for England and Premiership stars like Tim Rodber, Dean Ryan and Josh Lewsey.
The Army will provide full training facilities for attendees to develop their rugby skills alongside team work and leadership skills. Regular soldiers from the local area will be on hand to put attendees through some exciting activities off the sports pitch such as:
• Abseiling
• Climbing Wall
• Paintball
• Obstacle Courses
• Mountain Biking
• Swimming
(note - not all activities available at all sites)
All Army activities are tightly controlled to ensure maximum value in a safe environment.
“Be your Best” Residential Camps will take place at the following Army facilities. Places are limited and are selling out quickly.
