Worcester Warriors & Sixways Events Full Time Marketing Vacancy

Based at Sixways Stadium, Worcester, Guinness Premiership Rugby Club Worcester Warriors in association with Sixways Events are looking for an ambitious and innovative individual who wants to pursue a career in the professional sports industry. The new role will have a particular focus on enhancing the new media and marketing strategy as well as contributing to the marketing and fulfilment of Warriors match day and non match day events.
Position: New Media and Marketing Executive

Department: Marketing

Term: Full Time, (subject to standard probationary period)

Responsible to: Marketing and Community Manager

Basic Salary: Competitive + Expenses + Benefits

Duties and responsibilities

1. As part of the marketing team, contribute to the preparation of the marketing strategy

2. To help implement the marketing strategy

3. To undertake the formulation and delivery of an all encompassing new media strategy aligned to the marketing plan and with the approval and support of the Press and PR Manager.

4. The Design and implementation of Worcester Warriors and Sixways Events web strategy.

5. To ensure that the information on the official club website is up to date and accurate. Should information be out of date, then responsibility to oversee that the correct and new information is live.

6. The Delivery of the Worcester Warriors and Sixways Events e-marketing and e-commerce platforms.

7. To support in the attendance of media functions, media days and any other requirements with the media.

8. To ensure that relevant information is processed and effectively communicated within the section and where appropriate, to other sections of the Company and to customers.

9. Regular liaison with the Marketing team gather and feed information and to promote a positive image of Worcester RFC with a particular focus on the development of the warriors on line presence

10. To work with key partners internally and externally to develop and execute mutually beneficial opportunities raising exposure of related brands and associated products.

11. Ensure that supporters of Worcester Warriors and targeted segments of the local community are kept fully informed about positive aspects of the work of the Club and the Company.

12. To develop the size, functionality and effectiveness of the Worcester Warriors and Sixways Events Data bases with the aim of generating increased revenues across appropriate channels.

13. On match and event days, to be a low profile presence developing and maintaining a positive relationship with representatives of the media, sponsors and other visitors as required.

14. To process match day match report in collaboration with the Media and PR Manager

15. To support relevant staff at events and matches contributing to the match reports and formulation of news stories and positive PR.

16. Work with the Marketing & Community Manager to develop ideas and take necessary action to maximize attendances at matches and other appropriate events or functions.

17. To undertake any other duties deemed commensurate with the post and as directed by the Marketing& Community Manager, General Manager, CEO and/or the company.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Preferably educated to degree level or with equivalent qualifications and specifically in the fields of Marketing Media or Public Relations
• The successful candidate will have first hand experience of design and implementation of new media including websites and on line marketing tools and associated skills.
• A passion and interest in working in a professional sporting environment
